Mandatory Permissions
 
Permissions are defined for each individual fact. Normally this is left in the hands of the creator. With the “Mandatory Permissions” Platform administrator ("p-admin") can force user to set specific permissions for some groups or take off the whole permission selection. (-> see step 5!).

|1| Click in the main menu on “Groups & Users”.

|2| Click in the row “Mandatory permissions” on the perm-button/

|3| You now have a choice of two rows. You should always go through and check both menu options successively:

|4| click in the row “Groups affected by mandatory permissions” on the perm-button.

in the column “apply” select the groups, whose users are to be obliged by mandatory permissions.in the column “hide” select the groups whose users are not allowed to choose permissions at all.

"apply" main group – Don't forget to click in the column “apply” the “main group”. All users are always members of the main group. As long as you don't choose this group, the mandatory permissions will not be displayed for any user.


|6| Click on “save”

|7| Click in the row “Select mandatory permissions” on the perm-button

|8| Select which groups should be always set read, modify and/or work permitted for all facts (-> see also Assign permissions to groups).
